was born in Valladolid in 1972. He graduated in theoretical physics in the Universitat de Barcelona in 1995 and got a PhD in Physics in 2000 working at the Institut de Física d'Altes Energies (IFAE) in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. This PhD work was done within the ALEPH detector of the Large Electron-Positron accelerator at CERN. After finishing his PhD he worked for one year in a company of the aeronautical sector, providing software support for the Scientific Operation Centre of the ESA XMM-Newton satellite.

In 2001 he returned to IFAE to work in scientific computing. He participated in the ATLAS High Level Trigger development and joined the EU-Datagrid project, the first EU funded project to deploy a large distributed computing infrastructure (Grid) for scientific research in Europe.

In 2003 joined Port d'Informació Científica (PIC) where he has continued participating in the EU projects building a scientific Grid in Europe (EGEE). Since 2006 he has responsibility as Principal Investigator in the project funded by the Spanish government to deploy at PIC the Spanish Tier-1 for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC Project).

was born in 1963.  He studied Physics in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and received his diploma in 1985. He obtained his PhD in Experimental Physics in the same institution (1990, “Measurement of the electroweak parameters from Z decays into lepton pairs with the ALEPH detector at the LEP e+ e- collider”).
From this year, he collaborated as researcher in the UAB, the CERN and the IFAE (Institut de Física d’Altes Energíes) where he is currently involved in the Atlas Experiment at CERN. While he coordinated and participated in several projects related to the Aleph and Atlas experiments and grid computing (EGEE),  Andreu joined the PIC on 2003, and was the Technical Director until 2005.

He currently provides support to the Director of the PIC as senior advisor and coordinates the experiment ATLAS Tier-2 inside the LHC Project. He is Project Associated at CERN since 2007 in the Atlas Computing Infrastructure Group preparing for the new experimental data expected in 2009-2010.

was born in Terrassa (Barcelona) in 1975, He studied Physics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and received the degree by 2000. He joined then the IFAE (Institut de Física d’Altes Energíes) and did his Diploma Thesis by contributing to MEDIPIX project developing a Digital X-ray system based on semiconductor detector. He obtained in 2006 his PhD in High Energy Physics devoted to the study of the axial vector mass in neutrino carbon interactions in K2K (long baseline neutrino experiment). Xavier has also been teaching assistant in UAB (2002-2004) for the Physics degree.

In 2006 he joined the PIC with a post-doctoral position for the ATLAS experiment. Nowadays he leads the world-wide daily computing operations in ATLAS collaboration among other duties (LHC Project).

was born in Terrassa (Barcelona) in 1975. He graduated in Physics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1998. He joined IFAE and did his Diploma Thesis in ATLAS, by testing and verifying the uniformity and quality of a fraction of the Hadronic Calorimeter EndCap modules. In 2001, he obtained the PhD. Thesis in Experimental High Energy Physics studying the viability of MAGIC to search for Dark Matter annihilation gamma-ray signals and the analysis of data taken in the Galactic Center direction with the MAGIC Telescope. This work was published in Phys.Rev.Lett. and Astrophys.J., both papers Topcited 50+.

He joined the PIC in 2007 as a post-doctoral fellow joining the group as CMS contact person. Since mid-2008, he is the convener of Site Commissioning program of CMS experiment (LHC Project).

was born in Urbino (Italy) in 1975. She studied Physics in the
University of Bologna and got the degree in 2000. Then she moved to Spain to join the CIEMAT, and she started a PhD in astroparticle physics in the group of the AMS experiment, a cosmic ray spectrometer aimed to measure the cosmic ray flux in space.
She presented a PhD thesis in 2006 in the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. In 2005 she  started to work in a software company giving support for a monitoring application for broad IT environments.
In 2007 she moved back to research to work at CERN in the IT department, in the WLCG project.

She joined the PIC in 2009 as LHCb experiment contact person (LHC Project).
