was born in Jena (Germany) in 1976. He studied physics at the University of Rostock where he obtained his diploma in 2001. During his dissertation thesis he focused on a quantum statistical description of bound state formation in plasmas. He finished that work in 2004 with the doctor degree.
In 2005 he moved to Madrid joining a research group working mainly on nonlinear collective effects in solid states.
Since computer science became a major part, he started working in European Grid projects at PIC in 2007. Here he's is also coordinating collaborations between scientific experiments and PIC. He currently leads the Projects Area.

was born in Gandia (Valencia) in 1979. She received the Telecommunication Engineering degree in 2005 by the Technical University of Valencia. In 2007 she obtained her Ph.D in Electronics, from the University of Rouen, France, dealing with the modeling of electromagnetic emissions of electronic components for automotive and aerospace applications.
She has worked in the automotive sector as technical responsible of the EMC laboratory of Lear Corporation in Valls (Tarragona) and joined the PIC in 2008, where she leads the “Medical Imaging Group” inside the Projects Area.

was born in Granollers (Barcelona) in 1984. He studied Computer Science at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Last year he finished his last degree project on Computer Science at the PIC. The project, coordinated by Diego Mostaccio (professor at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and Yolanda Vives (PIC coordinator of "Medical Imaging Group"), relates a new web portal called PICNIC (Port d'Informació Científica NeuroImaging Center) to provide technological tools like a Database, a visualisation system, a web Interface and remote access to image post-processing software to neuroradiological researchers so that they can deal easily with a large volume of medical images. Jordi is also interested in artificial inteligence, bioinformatics and services related to cluestering and grid computing.

was born in was born in Barcelona in 1977. He graduated in Physics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2003. Later that year he joined the MAGIC group in the Institut de Física d'Altes Energies (IFAE) as a PhD student. In his Diploma Thesis he characterized the sensitivity of the MAGIC telescope in observations at large zenith angles. Roger is currently finishing his PhD on the study of gamma-ray emission from the active galactic nucleus Mrk501.
At the end of 2008 he joined the PIC Projects Area to act as the contact person of MAGIC project, and to continue the work on its data center he was doing since 2006.

was born in Barcelona in 1977. He started Physics discipline and finally had an engineering degree in Computer Engineering in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona by 2004. He started to work in 1999 as system administrator in a company of products and services on Professional Health. Later, in 2001 he started fellowship collaboration in IFAE (Institut de Física d’Altes Energies).
He joined the Port d’Informació Científica (PIC) in September 2003.Marc started to work on several computing areas, Batch system, Databases, Hardware support, operative system and nowadays he is in charge of middleware integration, testing and certification processes in the Projects Area.

was born in Vitoria (Álava) in 1975. He started Maths discipline and finally he graduated in Physics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2002. He worked as fellowship researcher in the Hospital Clínic i Provincial de Barcelona in the imaging diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases and later, as post-sales engineer in a company focused in the field of Life Science and Health to provide equipment solutions for the pharmaceutical, medical-hospital, biotech, laboratories and related industries.
He joined the PIC in 2006 to collaborate in the start-up of the "Medical Imaging Group" and currently prepares a Master in Advanced and Professional Physics.

was born in Palma (Mallorca) in 1984. He studied Computer Science at Universitat de les Illes Balears. He started to work in 2007 as a software engineer and database administrator in a small consulting firm to provide software solutions and system administration services to companies in the tourism field. In 2008 he moved to Barcelona to study a Master in High Performace Computing at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and became interested in grid computing and virtual environments.

was born in Padua (Italy) in 1976. She studied Physics at the University of Padua.
After obtaining her degree, she moved to Germany and worked as PhD
student at the Max Planck Institute for Physics of Munich as a member
of the MAGIC collaboration.
In
2006 she obtained the PhD in Physics at the Technical University of
Munich (Germany) with an experimental thesis on the very-high-energy
gamma-rays emitted by the active galactic nucleus 1ES1959+650.
In the same year she moved to Barcelona, where she worked for a private
company developing software tools to make automatic forecasts of price
and demand of electricity.
She joined the PIC Project Area in 2009 as contact person for the PAU (Physics of the Accelerating Universe) experiment
