He is mainly interested in parallel computing.

was born in Paris in 1982. He studied Computer and Electrical engineering in the Engineering school ESIGELEC in Rouen (France) while he was working in Sun Microsystems as system administrator, (he holds his engineering degree since 2006). Later, he worked in a data-warehouse as system administrator. After moving in Spain, he decided to switch his interests to develop and to design applications in the automotive field. Finally, in 2008 he decided to come back to his initial career and joined the PIC Infrastructures Area as system administrator where he worked until June 2009.

was born in 1982 in Barcelona. He started to work in several companies while studying Computing Systems Administration (he had his diploma in 2005). In 2006 he worked in the IFAE (Institut de Física d’Altes Energíes) as system manager, and users support (HelpDesk).
He finally joined the PIC in 2007 to collaborate in the Atlas group Computing System implementation project as technician in charge of users and grid services support in the framework of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC project) and the maintenance and administration of UNIX servers and internal services of the PIC in the Infrastructures Area.

was born in Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real) in 1971. He gowned in France and studied Technology of Information and Communication in the Université Paris VIII (Master degree by 2002). He started to work as IT manager in the University Library’s as system administrator while taking the degree. After that, he decided to move from Paris to Barcelona and worked for 2 years as system manager and oracle administrator in a library computing company. In 2007 he decided to dedicate his worked time to DB administration and the PIC given to him this opportunity as DBA Oracle system integrated in the Services Area until June 2009.

was born in Besalú (Girona) in 1975. She got her degree on Physics in 1997 in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. In 2003 she got her PhD on Physics working for the ATLAS experiment at CERN. She then worked for IFAE with a PostDoc contract and after a while she worked for PIC from 2004 to 2006 as a PostDoc researcher for the ATLAS Collaboration.
From 2007 on, she worked as a math teacher in a secondary school. This same year, she obtained a position in the Departament d'Educació of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

was born in Madrid in 1981. She lived in Euskadi (Basque Country) until 22 years old where she studied Informatics Systems Administration in the Instituto Diocesanas Arriaga de Vitoria.
She speaks fluent Spanish, English, German, Catalan and Euskera languages. She worked in the PIC from 2003 until February 2009 as System Operator.
Iratxe currently lives in Grevenbroich (Germany) and studies Humanities in the UOC (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya).

(aka Xisco) was born in Valencia in 1984. Since he was young he has always shown special interest in computer related topics and videogames. This made him decide to study a degree in Computer Science. Xisco is currently developing in the PIC the final project to accomplish his degree. Coordinated by Diego Mostaccio (professor at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and Paco Martínez (PIC coordinator of Services Area) the project consists on developing an application that serves as a monitoring dashboard of a Tier-1 Grid site of the LHC (Large Hadron Collider). This application groups most of the monitoring tools used at PIC using widgets (i.e iGoogle or Netvibes) in order to have a global status view with a simple look.

was Born in Terrassa (Barcelona) on 1974. She studied Physics in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2003 and she obtained the Master's Degree (DEA) in 2009, framed in the Physics PhD program at the UAB. Currently, she is working in her Doctoral Thesis.
During five years she has been working in the Neuroscience field, funded by the Fundació Clínic para la Recerca Biomèdica, at the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, carrying out the preprocessing of Magnetic Resonance (MR) images. In that period, she was also linked to the PIC, for the implementation and utilization of several kinds of software and analysis methodologies of neuroimaging in the GRID infrastructure.
Currently, she is a research worker funded by CIBERSAM (Centro de Investigación Biomedica en Red de Salud Mental). Her tasks are the treatment and processing of functional and structural MR data. And her research interests are focused on the computational anatomy and recognition patterns, to obtain better anatomical characterization between subjects.

was born in Barcelona in 1980. She studied Computer Engineering at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and holds her diploma since 2005. After that, she started to work in her PhD based on mobile agents (computing programs that can transport its state from one environment to another, with its data intact, and be capable of performing appropriately in the new environment) while she started her professional career at word of JD Edwards and Business Intelligence.
Raquel joined the PIC in 2008 to reinforce the Projects Area. She is in charge of grid processes operations and documentation in the framework of Enabling Grids for E-sciencE (EGEE), FP7 European Project.

was born in Barcelona in 1974. He graduated in physics at the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona (1996). He started a programmer career in the private IT industry, acquiring experience in several environments. In 1999 he was system manager in project Moneyshelf in Frankfurt. Late 2001 he went to French Guyana where he worked for 3 years as project manager for It infrastructure of Centre Spatial Guyannais, the Europe spaceport. Back in Barcelona in 2005 he worked as IT responsible in an engineering company (COMSA group) where he managed user's Help Desk.
Oscar worked in the PIC few months in 2009 to reinforce the Projects Area. He was in charge of the grid middleware operations and certifications supporting also other resources centers of the EGEE South-west Federation.

was born in Barcelona in 1980. He holds a Telecommunication Engineer Degree from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) since 2005, and a Master of Management in Information Technology Degree from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) since 2006.
