Christian Neissner

Christian was born in Jena (Germany) in 1976. He studied physics at the University of Rostock where he obtained his diploma in 2001. During his dissertation thesis he focused on a quantum statistical description of bound state formation in plasmas. He finished that work in 2004 with the doctor degree.
In 2005 he moved to Madrid joining a research group working mainly on nonlinear collective effects in solid states.

Since computer science became a major part, he started working in European Grid projects at PIC in 2007. Here he’s is also coordinating collaborations between scientific experiments and PIC. He currently leads the Projects Area.
