Jorge was born in Fontenay-Aux-Roses (France) in 1979. He graduated in Physics (Theoretical Physics branch) at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) in 2005. He obtained a Master 2 Diploma in Astrophysics and diluted means during an Erasmus fellowship at the Laboratoire d’Astrophysique de Grenoble (LAOG), and spent four months in the Laboratoire de Planétologie de l’Univers de Grenoble (LPG), in which he set up a software to simulate the radio signal of the MARSIS radar to study the ground and underground of Mars. In 2006 he did his Masters Diploma of Advanced Studies in Astrophysics and Cosmology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid working on chemical evolution galaxy models to interpret observed data from spiral and irregular galaxies. At the same time he worked as a junior programmer in insa (Ingeniería de Software Avanzado, S.A.).

He joined the Institut de Ciències de l’Espai in 2008 and obtained the PhD in 2013 with a thesis in building mock galaxy catalogues from dark matter N-body simulations as a tool for actual and future galaxy surveys.

Afterwards, he joined the Astrophysics and Cosmology group at PIC in 2012 during the last year of his thesis to work in the data management of the PAU project. Since then he collaborates in different areas in several cosmological projects such as PAU, MICE, DES and Euclid. He is external collaborator and contact person at PIC for the MICE project and the coordinator of the PAU science pipeline at PIC (scipic).
